Another Owl Hat

The first owl hat was seen and loved by so many friends.  A special request came in for this bright colored one.  Happy Birthday to this little girlie.  I just love her!  Excuse the hair it was a really windy day, but my love scarf kept me very toasty.

Sequoia Love

I received this beautiful card for my birthday.  A local artist in her area painted this beautiful sequoia/dogwood art.  I decided it was frame worthy since it reminds me so much of home and good friends.  This picture doesn't quite show just how beautiful it is but you get the idea.

Love in a Granny Square

My first attempt at making Granny Squares went well and now I am hooked.  They are really fun to work on and very portable.  I decided Lucy needed to be the recipient of this little love blanket.  She seems really happy with it.  Little Lucy is Little Bit's precious doll.  I made her when she turned three.  She is a big part of our family now.  The doll cradle she is in was mine when I was a little girl.

Bird Bag

After having a grumpy sick day I decided to whip up myself a new bag to feel better.  Yes I have a bag obsession, but do love each and every one of my bags.  The bird fabric a friend gave me last year.  I had a small piece left and decided it went perfect with this very soft brushed canvas I had in the stash....  Bird migration season is almost here and now I can carry my gear in style.

Valentine Presents

I picked these all natural rock crayons up at a local art/craft studio called "The Studio".  These are a beautiful Waldorf inspired non-toxic rock crayon.  Being that I have a family of rock lovers when I saw these I knew they would be great with a new rock story for the house.

Valentine Cards and Bags

This fabulous card was a huge hit for valentines day.  I made it for Little Bit inspired by a pattern I found on Ravelry.  It is so cute and I will be making plenty more of them.

Homemade love card for my Little Man.

The Studio's website had a great card tutorial I used to create this love card.

This accordion style card found in our Valentine Usborne book.

These little gift bags came from Usborne too.

My teen received a homemade iTunes gift card in her bag.

New Scarf

Here is the new luscious birthday scarf.  Made with super soft and fluffy merino yarn from Morehouse Farms.  I just love the chocolate color.  The scarf is beautiful and thick (11 inches) just like I love them.  Done in a simple garter stitch.   I wanted to get it whipped out as quick as possible.  This yarn is the softest I've ever had and I am in love with my new scarf.

New Dream Yarn

Here is my DREAM yarn, given to me by my family for my birthday.  It is from Morehouse Farms in New York.  www.morehousefarm.com
They have beautiful Merino sheep and their yarn is like nothing you will ever feel again.  Very soft and buttery is the only way I can describe it.  Hubby and kids got me Chocolate Brown, one of my favorite colors.  This particular one is un-dyed and in its natural sheep color.  How great!!!  I am in love already and knitting as fast as I can since we are scheduled to have a week of cold here and I want to wear it.  I went with a simple garter stitch for some relaxing knitting time.  Still deciding on fringe.

Knitting Needle Case

New knitting needle case for my birthday.  I have been saving this fabric for a long time just for this project.  Little Bit (with a hint of guidance) whipped it out for me for my birthday.  I love the bright fun colors, making knitting really happy.
