Dinosaur Apron

Here is the little dinosaur apron I made for my nephew. It's my own pattern, sized for children inspired by one of my favorite adult aprons.

Holiday Stockings

This year we decided to update our stockings. Little Bit and I picked out the fabrics and I finally got them all finished. They turned out really nice and are such an upgrade from what we had.

Tree Ornaments

This year we chose a beachy message in a bottle theme for our homemade ornaments. We purchased clear empty ornaments and filled with beach sand, plain and some we dyed. Then we added a "message" and shells to our "bottle". The messages are made with tea soaked/stained paper to give it that aged look. We then wrapped twine around the caps to give it a nautical theme. They turned out great and we like them a lot. They reflect our love for our beach life.

Monkey for the Little Man

A little knitted monkey for my little man also from the Itty Bitty Toys book. I am not as happy with it as the koala. I had a hard time finding the right colored sock yarn for it. The book showed a much lighter colored striped sock yarn. I will give it to him and hope he likes it. A definite do over when I stumble upon the right colored yarn.

Little Bit's Fish

Little Bit received a crochet kit for Christmas and went to town right away on her first project. She made the fish with a couple modifications. Such a thoughtful gift and perfect for her.

Koala Bear

Inside my new book "Itty Bitty Knits" by Susan Anderson is the pattern for this little guy. Little Woman spotted it and loved it, so I made her one for Christmas. This book is proving to be lots of fun. The koala has Velcro on its hands so it can hang on a backpack or bedpost. He turned out really cute. I'm happy with it.

Spa Basket

I crocheted this little basket to hold a spa gift. Lots of yummy bath salts, lotion, soap, and other treats went inside. I like it so much I plan on making more. I used a worsted weight yarn double stranded to make it thicker and stiffer.

Holiday Elf

This little elf comes from a Susan B. Anderson pattern. The kids love her and she is making a great addition to the holidays in our home.

Mittens

My first attempt at mittens is a success. They turned out great, fit my girlie, and are the same size. All that is left is the thumbs, more to come....

Red Scarf

Another scarf underway for myself. It's true it's 80 degrees right now, but I will be ready when a cold front moves through. This may just be my favorite. Love the deep red color.

Little Stockings

It's that time of year again! My favorite time. Lots of holiday crafting and the magic of giving to loved ones. This little collection of tree ornaments is getting shipped out to my mom this week. The pattern can be found on my favorite crochet blog: http://www.lemondedesucrette.com/
She has such wonderful colorful crocheted items.

Granny Squares

Little Woman and I have started a joint project. We have begun a granny square afghan. We will both work on the blocks and in the end stitch them up together into one blanket. This makes the project attainable for her, while giving us a project to share and bond over. We are making a seasonal colored afghan. We will use up colors as each holiday comes and goes. It will be like a crazy quilt with all different colored blocks. Since Halloween has just come and gone we are starting there. Here are our Halloween blocks. These are the colors we had used to make our pumpkins. When the blanket is finished we will be able to look back and remember each yarn and the wonderful crafting we did together with it; a memory blanket. This afghan is going to be finished with white and the next one we do will be a brown or black and will be for the Little Boy.

Winter Scarf

Although it is 80 degrees here and November I am knitting a scarf. Fall just says to me scarves! I can't wait until January or so to be able to wear it. It's for me, and a deep purple color. I'm in love with the color and have to admit Little Bit got the yarn for her and I snagged it out of the drawer. I will have to get her another skein at some point. I am making quick progress and should be finished sometime this week.

White Pumpkin

I added a new pumpkin to the bunch. I like the white but definitely like the orange ones better. Pattern found on Ravelry.

Lucy's Sweater

Little Bit whipped out a sweater for Lucy. She didn't use a pattern, just went for it. It came out great and fits well. It's crocheted with Red Heart Kids line.

Fall Treasures

This is the complete fall treasures gift for my mom. Basket weave towel, indian corn, and mini pumpkins. The towel and pumpkins were knit, the indian corn crocheted.  All the patterns were found through Ravelry. They were all such quick easy patterns I plan on making more for our house.

Mini Pumpkin

Finished little pumpkin. Super cute. Definitely needs some friends.

Little Bit's Dress

Little Bit has decided to make her first dress. She picked out the fabric on her own, stating that it looked fallish. This past week she cut out all the fabric and linings. She has started work on the bodice with some guidance from mom. Good job Little Bit, can't wait to see the end result.

Pumpkin Time

Now that the towel is finished, it's time for mini pumpkins. These will make a cute centerpiece on a table. The pattern was found on Ravelry and fittingly the yarn color name is pumpkin.

Autumn Towel

I finished the Autumn Towel. It came out really cute and definitely a pattern I will use again, great results without being complicated.  The color looks very pinkish here, but it is actually paprika and very orangey in person.

Lucy's New Dresses

Little Bit finished up her dolly dresses. She sewed the dresses all by herself with me sitting next to her directing the process. Way to go! They came out super cute. I love the fabric choices. Lucy is a very loved little doll.
